What are podcasts, videocasts, mediacasts?
Podcasts are typically mp3 files available via a "feed" that when subscribed to will be delivered directly to your desktop or mp3 player. They are like an audio blog or radio show and can be listened to through a website, downloaded to hard drive or portable mp3 player and listened to while you are on the go. You probably guessed what Videocasts are...Yep, they are video's on the go. Mediacasts are just a combination of both!

RSS Feed
Real Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds are what transform ordinary mp3 files into podcasts. RSS feeds check for and detect when there is a new podcast has been uploaded online. When your RSS feed detects a new file, the podcast is downloaded and placed into the play list of your podcast client (i.e. software). Podcast clients include iTunes, WinAmp, Doppler, PodAmigo, etc. Once you subscribe to this podcast new casts will be downloaded directly to your computer when updated on our site!

How do I subscribe to a podcasts?
First off, you'll need software on your computer that can enable RSS feeds. There are many options available and you most likely already have one installed on your computer. Some examples include iTunes, WinAmp, Doppler, PodAmigo, etc. To download one search for "podcast client" or "podcast software."

To subscribe to these mediacasts copy and paste http://gelbmusic.com/media/casts/mrss.xml into your "podcast" client under "add feed" or "subscribe to a podcast". If you have questions, refer to the help section of your podcast software.
