is a drummer/percussionist who has been performing in the Bay Area for over 20 years. His loves are jazz, rock, R & B, the blues, funk and even a little country. Peter is very enthusiastic about his craft. This enthusiasm helps his students receive a strong technical foundation while inspiring them to explore their own musical interests.
Private class instruction is structured to accommodate all age levels. Students are taught basic drum and music fundamentals, as well as rhythmic concepts and styles. An emphasis is given to music appreciation and enrichment. Many different drumming styles are examined, such as rock, jazz, blues, and country.
Peter has played with Al Quaglieri, a Grammy-winning producer for CBS-Sony Records; Tony Lindsay (Santana); Skylark (Doobie Brothers); Frank Martin (Narada Michael Walden); Myron Dove (Santana); John Lee Sanders (Long John Baldry, Paul Williams); Garth Webber (Miles Davis); Mike Schermer (Elvin Bishop, Maria Muldaur); Dale Ockerman (Doobie Brothers); Tiran Porter (Doobie Brothers); Richard Bryant (Doobie Brothers) among many others.
Peter studied with Dr. James Petersack at Crane School of Music, State University of New York (1972-1974) and at the Berkelee College of Music in Boston, MA (1974-1975).
