Fender Vintage Custom T-8 Triple-Neck Lap Steel, 1952, Blonde, Pre-Stringmaster, w/Case, RARE

For Professional Lap Steel Players and Collectors, a Vintage Fender Custom T-8 Triple-Neck Lap Steel! In Excellent condition for the age (some dings/dents/wear and oxidation on legs and metal parts). These don't show up very often! Featuring 3 necks with 8 strings each (thusly, the T-8), players can have 3 separate tunings ready to go instantly.

Extremely Rare

A unique transitional model for Fender, the Custom T-8 would not be called a "Stringmaster" until 1953, when they added the Blend knob and a 4th leg and modified the pickups. The Custom T-8 is the model that solidified Fender's place in the pantheon of Lap Steel manufacturers.

Controls

Two knobs which control master volume and tone. Dual switches allow you to choose between the bridge or middle pickup, or the neck and a blend of the bridge and middle (3-Way switch has been replaced, but original is included). The neck pickup is intentionally quieter for a more mellow tone.
