From the Vault; a rare, just-opened Les Paul Studio from 1998! Everything in pristine, unplayed condition (there is some separation in the finish at the seam from top to body on the side, due to the wood expanding and contracting with the weather over almost 3 decades). A Les Paul of this age in this condition would be rare on its own, but this model has some additional unique features:
Why It's Rare:
- In 1998, Gibson went back to the Dot inlays on the neck like the original studios
- There were only a limited number of LP Studios released in the Amethyst finish leftover from the previous "Gem" Series
- Nickel Hardware was the catalog default for all finishes, making the gold/amethyst combo extremely unusual
- Includes all original Gibson box/accessories/inserts - a true time capsule!
