Rogers is proud to announce the debut of our new Covington Series drum kits. Built in the USA, these kits represent the pinnacle of Golden Age drum craftsmanship. Meticulously constructed using Rogers' proprietary shell process, Covington kits are painstakingly hand-built and finished in our California workshop. Featuring classic Rogers appointments in Beavertail lugs, 'Bow Tie' tension rods, Rogers script logo nameplates, as well as new design 'Clockface' tool-less multi-mount hardware too! Hand-Built for Tone
The modern Rogers drum shell is a proprietary process born from dissecting original Rogers 1960's drums to research the construction methods, materials, and resonant characteristics. Select North American maple and poplar woods are honed into 2mm thick solid plies, then double 'heat bent' to shape the 3-ply drum shell form. Once formed and cooled in our special shell presses, the shells undergo a special polishing process before applying the 2-ply reinforcement rings. The raw shells are then moved to our Canoga Park, CA workshop to be finished. All bearing edges, snare beds, drilling, and sanding processes are done by hand, and the finishes and hardware are also hand-installed. Once assembled and tuned, each drum's internal shell label is signed and dated before packaging and shipping. For Rogers, there is no substitute for building quality and consistency into each individual drum by hand. Experience the Rogers hand-built difference!
