This Collector’s Series Jazz kit features DW’s renowned Cherry/Gum hybrid shell construction, built around a thick 3-ply Gumwood core with Cherry inner and outer plies. The result is a warm, round fundamental with enhanced articulation, musical attack, and medium sustain—equally at home in jazz, fusion, rock, pop, and studio recording. The shells feature DW’s vintage-inspired rounded “butter” bearing edges and are built without reinforcement hoops, producing an open, resonant voice with exceptional sensitivity and dynamic range.
Finished in stunning Black Ice FinishPly and outfitted with classic Chrome Collector’s Series hardware, this kit combines timeless looks with DW’s legendary craftsmanship, including True-Pitch tuning rods, True Hoops, and STM suspension mounting for maximum resonance.
